Server Downtine

We are having a server downtime.

We'll keep you guys posted here on how things evolve. Right now, all we know is that we can't access the server, but that the DNS recordings are still up (if you do a whois commando)

I'm in Budapest, so while you can contact me, I'd recommend you send a mail to Max or Wiggin or Dextrone for further information.

I've talked with Dextrone, who ran some tests. It appears that both dextrone.net and giftedhaven.net , that share a server, are down.
We tried accessing it with the IP address, but that didn't work either. We did find a page saying : Congrats! CPanel works. But we couldn't access neither the Haven's directory on the said server, nor log into CPanel.

I've sent an email to report this to our host. I'll tell you when I get an answer. If we don't get one by Friday, we'll take further action.

We are also considering changing the host provider.

What's crazy is that their own website seems to be down

I certainly hope not.

At any rate, we're starting to consider changing for another host.

Still no answer from our fucking host bastard.

I sent a mail to privatedns and to iWeb, hoping _they_ will have the decency to at least reply.

I also found a phone number (in Hungary, too!) of iWeb, which _might_ be involved (but perhaps not), so if I don't get anything, I'll call them

Just got an answer from iWeb. Apparently, the status of our server is indeed down, but they can't tell whether it is their customer's desire or not (that is to say, whether it is anormal or not, their customer being our hosting company)

Latest update…

Still no answer from Webberco Ltd. But Dextrone found a phone number, that Sniper is gonna call. We're trying to get our backups : that's our #1 goal


The latest backups are from March 14th. I sent them to Wiggin, who will send mails to all the members who haven't been kept up to date about what happened.
Everything posteed before March 14th is safe. Everything posted after isn't secured.

If we can't find any solution, we have decided to create a rescue board. Perhaps this one will be used, but we might prefer a MyBB one.

I sent the backup to Dextrone, who told me he would put it online. He also said that he found a way to get an up-to-date backup from our server.

Well the Haven still doesn't work… Dextrone has the backups so he should be able to put it back online in a not too long time, but it isn't up yet.

We're still there though, so stay with us.
